This year is the 50th anniversary of Harbin Ice Lantern Show and this year's national and provincial college student ice sculpture competitions, as traditional competition events of Harbin Ice Lantern Show will see an unprecedented scale and a more diversified competition style. Starting from Nov. 7, Harbin Ice Lantern Art Expo Center will accept registration of students from all over China and Harbin will offer free accommodation to the college students outside Heilongjiang Province and cover their round-trip travel expenses.
The 8th National College Student Ice Sculpture Competition and the 11th Heilongjiang College Student Ice Sculpture Competition to be held during this year's Harbin Ice Lantern Show. It will take "Fifty Years' Splendor of Ice Lanterns Spread All Over the World" as the theme. The 8th National College Student Ice Sculpture Competition will be held from Dec.28th to Dec. 29th and the 11th Heilongjiang College Student Ice Sculpture Competition will be held form Dec. 26th to Dec. 27th.
