On this tour, you will explore three famous ancient water towns in south China: Tongli, Wuzhen and Nanxu. The tour does not include accommodation in Shanghai. Your tour will start from your Shanghai hotel and end at your Shanghai hotel.

Activities for today: Tongli Water Town
09:00 AM, our guide will meet you at your Shanghai hotel. Then drive about 1.5 hours to Tongli.
Tongli is located in Suzhou city of Jiangsu province. It is famous for the rivers, narrow lanes, ancient bridges and house complexes. In the town, you will have a boat riding along the ancient cannal and watch the cormorants fishing.

Activities for today: Wuzhen Water Town
After breakfast, drive about 2 hours to Wuzhen. You will first have a walk through Dongzha and taste the charm of Wuzhen. Around 17:00, go to visit Xizha. The evening is your free time, you can enjoy the brilliant nightscape of the town.
Wuzhen lies in the northern part of Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province. It boasts over 1000 years of history and has always been a fertile land with abundant rice, fish and silk. It preserves the ancient appearance well and oozes charm of the water town itself. The small town, with houses made of black bricks and gray tiles contrasting sharply with the white walls, making it appear like a Chinese ink wash drawing. Stone bridges are seen here and there. Small boats with black awnings are floating on the murmuring rivers. Whether wandering along the riverside or strolling in the lanes paved with blue flagstones, you will be deeply impressed by the picturesque scenery and slow lifestyle.

Activities for today: Nanxun Water Town
Morning drive about 1 hour to Nanxun Water Town. You will walk around leisurely for photography with your guide. Drive back to Shanghai at 16:30 and reach at 19:00 or so.
Nanxun is located in Huzhou City in northern Zhejiang Province. It is known as the "the land of fish and rice" and "silk market". A large number of ancient houses, gardens and other ancient buildings are well preserved, such as the famous garden - Little Lotus Garden, the famous private library – Jia Ye Tang, the One-Hundred Residential Houses of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the famous Yangtze River mansion - Zhang Shiming’s Former Residence, etc. Bridges running over rippling rivers, white walls and dancing green willows form an authentic landscape. The harmony and unity between culture and natural scenery as well as the combination of Chinese antiquity and western architecture, make the town fascinating.
