A Giant Chinese Character "福" is Lit Up in Lao Daowai

A huge Chinese character "福" is hung outside a building in Lao Daowai (aka Chinese Baroque Street), which is made up of over one thousand lanterns. The character "福" [fú] meaning "fortune" or "good luck" is represented both as a Chinese ideograph and, at times, pictorially, in one of its homophonous forms. Posting the "福" character is a tradition for Chinese people during Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) each year. This huge "福" is lit up in the evenings for greeting the new year of Ox and Harbin Ice Festival 2021. The character is very near to the giant snow sculpture "Snow Great Wall" at South Erdao Street.
