The 23rd Heilongjiang Provincial Snow Sculpture Competition officially kicked off in Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province on January 10. The competition will last to January 14, more than 10 teams enter for the competition.

Heilongjiang Provincial Snow Sculpture Competition is one of the traditional competitions of Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo. It is annually held in Sun Island Park during Harbin Ice Festival.
The competition of this year is cosponsored by Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo and Heilongjiang Province Artists' Association.
