Currently, the Harbin Ice and Snow World is actively engaged in preparations and preliminary construction work with the goal of opening in mid-December 2024.
This year, the number of ice slides will increase from 16 to 24, and the park's area will expand from 810,000 square meters to 1 million square meters.
During the ice collection period of the previous year, the Harbin Ice and Snow World stored 100,000 cubic meters of ice for an entire year, marking the largest ice storage in history. This year's 100,000 cubic meters of ice storage will primarily be utilized for the preliminary construction of the 26th Harbin Ice and Snow World to ensure that the ice supply keeps pace with the construction progress. When the ice on the Songhua River reaches a sufficient thickness, the collection of new ice will commence simultaneously.
