The 20th Harbin International Snow Sculpture Competition had been held in the venue of the 27th Harbin Sun Island Snow Sculpture Art Expo on January 10, 2015. The event will last four days and will end on January 13. It is known as one of the most important activities of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival 2015.
According to the organizing committee of Harbin Ice Festival, the contestants who took part in the International Snow Sculpture Competition were from France, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Great Britain, Poland, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Russia and China. There are 28 representative teams of more than 110 players participating and they will create works in the 3-meter-long, 3-meter-wide, and 4-meter-high snowdrift. The competition will last until January 13, which will produce six awards, including one first prize, three second prizes, five third prizes, one best creative prize, one best skill technique prize, and one particular prize.
With a long history, exquisite art elegant style and rich ethnic characteristics, Harbin International Snow Sculpture Competition is famous both at home and abroad. It is one of the most influential events in Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, and even in the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival.
So far, Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo has been successfully held for 26 sessions.
