Harbin Ice and Snow World, also know as Harbin Ice and Snow World Amusement Park had been successfully held 16 times in all. It is by far the largest ice and snow art theme park in the world. It is commonly referred to as possessing four of the key 'mosts': the most art attractions, the most beautiful night views, the most recreational activities and the most forms of entertainment. Now let's have a brief historical retrospect to the wonderful moments of all the previous Harbin Ice and Snow World.
The 1st Harbin Ice and Snow World was founded in 1999 by the Harbin municipal government for a memorial of the 2000 millennium. It was themed "Golden Age of China, Heilongjiang off "
The Second Harbin Ice and Snow World was hold in the Stalin Park and the beach located on the middle Songhua River. Themed as the "Amazing Ice City, Ice & Snow Impression", it was the world's largest artificial ice and snow amusement park at that time.
The 3rd Harbin Ice and Snow World was located in Shangwu District (on the north bank of the Songhua River). The theme was "Sentiments of Winter Rhyme, Dream of the North ".
The 4th Harbin Ice and Snow World covered an area of 400,000 square meters and consisted of 8 areas, including International Plaza, Longjiang Scenery, Chinese Garden, South Asia Glimpse, European and American Flavor, A Tour of Russia , Ice and Snow Great Wall, and the Extreme World world.
The 5th Harbin Ice and Snow World observed the grand opening on December 24, 2003. This Ice and Snow paradise featured a lot of ice & snow landscape and ice & snow entertainments, and it was known as the most beautiful park with the most beautiful night scene in the world in that year.
The theme of the 6th Harbin Ice and Snow World was "Gay Colors of Ice and Snow World". It overall covering an area of 280,000 square meters, more than 2,000 ice and snow sights were built in the park.
6th Harbin Ice and Snow World
The 7th Harbin Ice and Snow World with the theme of "Sino-Russia Year in Harbin", with all the sculptures fashioned in a typical Russian style. Among them were replicas of some of Russia's most famous architecture, such as the East Palace, and Moscow's Red Square. The park created a distinctive Russian culture theme park and had made visitors to indulge in the beautiful landscape in north Russia.
7th Harbin Ice and Snow World
The 8th Harbin Ice and Snow World's theme was "Sino-ROK Friendly Ice World". There were five major thematic scenic areas with more than 2,000 snow and ice art works. The 100-meter Long Dragon, 10,000 Square Meters Skating Rink, and the 230-meter Long Ice Slide and some other ice works added highlights to the park.
8th Harbin Ice and Snow World
The 9th Harbin Ice and Snow World was aimed at greeting the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Its theme was "Ice & Snow World, Dream of Olympic". The park used its fantastic ice and snow landscape interpreted the Beijing Olympic's slogan "One World, One Dream" .

The theme of the 10th Harbin Ice and Snow World's was "Ice and Snow World Happily Greets the World University Winter Games", which created "top-10 world's first" of the amusement theme park in the world in that year.

Themed as "Ice & Snow Buildings Brilliant Works, Happily Meet the World", the 11th Harbin Ice and Snow World used the LED lights perfectly combined the culture and entertainment, sights and ice & snow sports.

The 12th Harbin Ice and Snow World's theme was "Ice & Snow World, Fairy Tales Kingdom". This year the park was moved to north for 1,500 meters and the area was expanded to 600,000 square meters. The park debuted the two wonderful night shows "Cool Harbin" and "Ice & Snow European Song & Dance Show"

Integrated with the international animation festival, the 13th Harbin Ice and Snow World focused on the north China's scenery. Themed as the " Forest Snowfield, Animation World" , the sponsors created a comprehensive ice and snow amusement park.
13th Harbin Ice and Snow World
The 14th Harbin Ice and Snow World was romantic and fantastic. It had a trial operation from December 31, 2012 to January 4, 2013. Its theme was "Dreamlike Forest Snowfield, Magical Ice & Snow Animation".
14th Harbin Ice and Snow World
The 15th Harbin Ice and Snow World was themed " Ice and Snow Animation World Expo". The main tower of the park measured 46 meters in height, using 12,000 cubic meters of ice. It was known as the highest ice buildings in the world in the year. Many world's ice and snow cartoon images were found in the park.
15th Harbin Ice and Snow World
Taking "the Wonderland in the Land of Snow, the Grand View in the World of Ice and Snow" as its theme, the 16th Ice and Snow World covered an area of 800,000 square meters. The park used 180,000 cubic meters of ice and 150,000 cubic meters of snow. The ice sculptures, snow sculptures, the ice buildings and the snow buildings form a fantastic world.
