The 3rd Huade Cup National Young Professional Ice Sculpture Competition officially kicked off in Zhaolin Park in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province on Jan 3.
The competition is sponsored by the organizing committee of the China Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival and the ice and snow art committee of the Heilongjiang Artists Association.
This ice sculpture competition is scheduled to last three days from Jan 3 to 5. A total of 10 teams will showcase their skills during this period.
The Huade Cup National Young Professional Ice Sculpture Competition has been held for three consecutive sessions. It aims to promote and develop urban ice and snow sculpture art through professional competitions, improve ice sculpture creativity levels, develop the creative ability of young ice and snow talents, and cultivate the development of Heilongjiang ice and snow art.
